The house I am living in has been put on the market. Prospective byers have been inspecting it every few days. My life and art are in a state of limbo and i am frustrated. Still doing some drawings with a view to a do the large triptych.

This is my first post for over a month. It was a month when I made no paintings and only a few notebook drawings. It was a month that saw me move out of the family home and into a house not far away. Life sometimes doesn't eventuate as you had imagined. One doesn't share one's life with another human being and get married and have children without intending to make things work. (Well, I think that applies to the vast majority of people anyway, I suppose some must have ulterior motives.)
Anyway, the drawings I did do and have continued, are in preparation for a large painting I am going to embark on. It will be a tryptich that is based on an imagined landscape. The house I have moved into is not ideal in that there is really no suitable room for me to paint. The shed and garage are full of the owners belongings. The only area undercover to do a large canvas is the back veranda. When I have more time I will post some images that I am working on for the painting and hope to put up some progressive photos once I get started. |
